Design acceptance
Annex I aircraft are not required to undergo certification procedure, but only acceptance procedure. Exceptions are historical aircraft which have been previously certified and which are considered accepted on the basis of the type certificate. Historical aircraft have to be certified in accordance with the type certificate or existing modifications have to be certified according to the construction standard required for the certification.
On the basis of provisions of the Ordinance on design, acceptance, construction and maintenance of non-EASA aircraft NN 40/12, Croatian Civil Aviation Agency publishes the List of accepted types of ultralight aircraft in Croatia.
The list is published in order to disseminate information on acceptance of specific types of ultralight aircraft in Croatia to all interested parties. Listed types of ultralight aircraft may be entered into the Croatian Civil Aircraft Register if airworthiness review shows that they are airworthy and comply with all other applicable regulations.
List of accepted types of ultralight aircraft in Croatia
Aircraft belonging to other categories shall be accepted as individual designs while recognizing their similarity with previously approved designs, with the possible exception of Annex I aircraft whose acceptance is separately regulated:
Sailplanes with empty mass of up to 80/100 kg,
