No permit shall be required for foreign civil aircraft registered in a State that has acceded to the Chicago Convention (ICAO) for flying over or performing technical landing into the territory of the Republic of Croatia.

Overflight authorization must be obtained in case of foreign state aircraft (aircraft used in military, police or customs purposes or for the transport of persons who enjoy a special status), transport of dangerous goods and when the aircraft does not hold a standard airworthiness certificate.

Note:

  • Third country operators must hold safety authorisation issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA TCO Authorisation) in case of technical landing when performing commercial air transport.
  • EU air carriers do not require overflight permit for the transport of dangerous goods except when transporting dangerous goods forbidden for air transport under normal circumstances in which case exemption/approval issued by a dangerous goods inspector must be obtained.
