State Aircraft
Aircraft engaged in “state activities” (military, customs, police, search and rescue, firefighting, coast guard and similar activities or services) are exempt from application of the Regulation (EU) 2018/1139 when engaged in those specific activities as laid down in article 2.3.a) of the Regulation (EU) 2018/1139.
“EASA aircraft” engaged in the 'state activities' are subject to national regulation Ordinance on requirements for the operators, staff and organizations engaged in maintenance and continuing airworthiness of EASA aircraft when used for state activities. There is no regulation for aircraft not subject to the Regulation (EU) 2018/1139 used for state activities.
